Wings for Life Formula One Challenge

Spinal cord injury charity Wings for Life has launched an exciting and unique initiative for motorsport fans: the Wings for Life Formula One Challenge.

Wings for Life are calling on companies and groups to form fundraising teams to drive forwards discoveries in world-class spinal research. Competing against one another, these teams will spend July to October racing to raise as much money as possible for research. In return, they will receive rewards from the Formula One team, Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

To kick off the challenge, teams are invited to an exclusive launch evening where Infiniti Red Bull Racing Team Principal Christian Horner will give a talk to the teams about the recipe for creating a winning team.  At the half way point of the challenge, the three teams who have banked the most money will be sent an Infiniti Red Bull Racing static car to their workplace.

After four months of racing for final place, the top fundraising team will be decided. Their prize will be a driving session in the Infiniti Red Bull Racing simulator with guidance from a team expert. Instead of a trophy they will take home an iconic piece of Infiniti Red Bull Racing memorabilia which has been framed, worn and signed.

And that’s not all. All teams raising at least £15,000 in aid of Wings for Life’s work will be entitled to four places on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Factory. Their day will include a champagne buffet lunch and a Q & A session with Team Principal Christian Horner where he’ll test if the teams put his tips into action.

Team Principal of Infiniti Red Bull Racing Christian Horner commented: I’m looking forward to meeting the teams and lending my thoughts on team work and leadership. We hope that these experiences with Infiniti Red Bull Racing will spur on the teams to get competitive and race to raise as much money as possible for Wings for Life.

To sign up or find out more please email: nikki.wilson@wingsforlife.com. Please be aware that to enter teams must aim to raise at least £15,000. Matched donations from companies are permitted. To attend the launch talk £1000 must have been donated. To qualify for the static car reward, at least £5000 must be secured. Terms and conditions apply.
