DC: We need to be more Bullish

David Coulthard has spoken out about the need to move Red Bull forward. In 2006 the team surprised many by taking a great stride forward from its Jaguar heritage. DC says now is the time to accelerate that improvement, even if it means taking some risks.

"Next year will be a  lot more about performance," Coulthard told Autosport magazine. "This year was all about respectability as the team changed from Jaguar. Next year we have to move forward to a more competitive level and if that means taking a few more risks along the way, so be it."

The RB2 car will be the first true Red Bull Racing car, as the RB1 was essentially designed by Jaguar to the budget restrictions imposed by parent company Ford. With Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz having increased the budget at Milton Keynes and secured a supply of Ferrari V8 engines, it is imperative that the team is again seen to move closer to the front runners.
