Critsiano Da Matta Update

RU Sport Champ Car driver and ex-Toyota star Cristiano Da Matta is continuing to make good progress after he suffered serious injuries after colliding with a with a deer.

Da Matta was participating in a Champ Car test for his RU Sport team on August 3rd after after a deer ran infront of him on the track. As reported by TotallyToyotaf1.com on 31st August Da Matta was recovering well and was said to be 'walking and Talking'' and was ready for the transition to rehabilitation. 2 weeks later Cristiano is said to be making further progress.

Champ Car medical director Dr Chris Pinderski said;

''Cristiano has continued to show excellent progress while recovering from his injury. Early last week, he was transferred to the rehab unit at Theda Clark Medical Center where he is participating in a very intensive rehabilitation regimen designed specifically for patients with significant head injuries."

Pinderski added, "Cristiano is looking forward to returning to Miami in the near future and will continue his rehab program there.''
