Day 2 at Barcelona and Toyota have race drivers Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher on track. Both drivers happy to be back behind the wheel again.

Ralf finished the day in 7th place and Jarno was 12th overall, Ralf the 5th fastest race driver and Jarno the 7th. Ralf's time for seventh at the end of the day was 1:17.359 with Jarno's fastest time a 1:18.019. A fairly average first day for our two race drivers.

Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer was fastest at the end of the day with a time of 1:16.317 beating new Renault driver Heikki Kovalinen of Finland into second with BMW-Sauber's Polish sensation Robert Kubica rounding out the top three.

Mclaren had two drivers on traclk today with new singing and 2006 GP2 Champion Lewis Hamilton finishing the day an impressive 4th on a time of 1:17.077, the young Britons futre looking rosy. But the media attentionw as on former Double World Champion Mika Hakkinen. Hakkinen who retired from F1 in 2001 has been racing in the DTM for Mercedes for the past two seasons and this was his drive in a F1 car since the Japanese GP at Suzuka in 2001. Not suprisingly after 5 seasons out Hakkinen was bottom of the time sheets with a time of 1:19.340. More tests are planned for the Veteran, time will tell what it leads too.

I-Sport GP2 Driver Timo Glock raced for the Jordan Team in 2004, replacing fellow GP2 star Giorgio Pantano in the team. Glock was making his first F1 appaerance since Brazil 2004 with the BMW-Sauber team and the young German finished an impressive 9th place just ahead of new Honda test driver Christian Klien with Klien's former team mate David Coulthard 11th for Red Bull.

As for the rest Anthony Davidson continued Super Aguri's impressive early test form with a car looking suspiciously like a 2006 Hond a RA106 in 13th place with Narain Kartikeyan completing Williams' milege with the Toyota engine. Scott Speed was 15th for Scuderia Toro Rosso, the Toro Rosso pair split by Red Bull test driver Michael Ammermuller, Tonio Liuzzi in the second STR having to settle for 17th ahead of Hakkinen.
