Toyota drivers Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher will line up 8th and 9th respectivley for round two of the 2007 Formula 1 World Championship at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia.

Jarno's best time was a 1.36.902 compared to Ralf's 1.37.078, so there was nothing to choose between the pair. The result is the same as it was in Australia 3 weeks ago but Toyota will be happy with this considering the grumblings about the TF107. Just like Melbourne Toyota will be hoping for a good points finish, hopefully with both cars.

At the front it was Felipe Massa who took a well deserved pole position after his horror show in Melbourne. The Brazilian has been the man to beat all weekend and drove a storming final lap in Q3 to take pole position from Reigning World Champion Fernando Alonso at the last. Massa set a time of 1.35.043.

Alonso was next up in the Mclaren-Mercedes on a 1.35.310 ahead of Melbounre victor Kimi Raikkonen in the second Ferrari. British sensation Lewis Hamilton admitted he made a mistake on his final run but the Mclaren rookie still wound up an impressive 4th on 1.36.045. Hamilton made a demon start in Australia, so theres no reason to suggest he won't do it here either, watch out for the reigning GP2 Champion.

Nick Heidfeld in the BMW-Sauber was 5th fastest and completing the top 6 was Nico Rosberg. The German was the fastest of the Toyota powered cars and he split the BMW-Sauber's as Robert Kubica was 7th ahead of Jarno and Ralf with Aussi Mark Webber rounding out the top 10 in his Red Bull Racing car.

Reigning World Champions Renault have struggled since Alonso jumped ship to Mclaren. Team boss Flavio Briatore even described his new rookie Heikki Kovalainen's first race in Melbourne as ''rubbish.'' Giancarlo Fisichella salvaged 5th in the Australian race but both ''Fisico'' and Kovalinen will do well to stick clear of Braitore's critisim as the two cars line up 11th (Kovalainen) and 12th (Fisichella). More effort reqired tommorow.

Briton David Coulthard was 13th in the sister Red Bull car ahead of Super Aguri's Takuma Sato in 14th. Most importantly was that both the Honda works drivers of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello finished behind Super Aguri's with Aguri's second driver Anthony Davidson 18th. Button's car struggled to 15th and Barrichello suffered all sorts of problems with his Honda and only got one timed lap in which wasnt good enough to get in out of the fist phase of Qualifying. Barrichello lines up 19th.

Davidson complained that Toro Rosso driver Vitantonio Liuzzi held him up deliberatly in Q1, The Italian still came through into the second phase of Qualfying but that's as far as he went. The Italian finished 16th just ahead of American team mate Scott Speed.

Williams-Toyota driver Alexander Wurz fought with gearbox gremlins and the Austrian could do no better than 20th. The Spyker's hold residence of the back row with Dutchman Christijan Albers for the first time this weekend getting the best of rookie German team mate Adrian Sutil.

The race tommorow looks good for Toyota after Qualifying. A double points finish is definatly within our grasp. Toyota generally go well here. Remeber Jarno taking the teams first podium here in 2005? It's Jarno and Ralf from 8th and 9th on the grid with Massa on pole for the 2007 Malaysian Grand Prix. Don't miss it!
