Toyota took to the test track again on Monday with Cristiano da Matta at the wheel. The team are thankfully looking into the apparent weakness with the fuel pressure system that has so far retired them from the first two Grand Prix. In fact the team's official press statement from the test says, "Although the session was initially planned to last three days, the team swiftly decided to extend it with the clear objective to overcome the fuel pressure problem that plagued their first two races of the season." Oh boy, are they taking this seriously.

Cristiano also worked on suspension and set-up options and completed 67 trouble free laps. Interestingly, the driver states that their fuel problem may be heat related.

"This morning, we started working a bit on the general set-up of the car, and we focused on some suspension work, testing a couple of new solutions," Crisitano was quoted as saying on Tuesday afternoon. "In the afternoon, while we continued to go through some set-up items, we concentrated primarily on understanding the problem that affected us in the Malaysian Grand Prix. We know it was partly caused by the extreme temperatures in Sepang, which is clearly not easy to simulate here in Europe, but we collected a lot of good data this afternoon and we will continue working on this in the next few days."

da Matta continues his duties for the team on Wednesday, before handing over to Olivier Panis for the remaining two days.
