Jordan criticises Andersson
 
Jordan team boss Eddie Jordan has criticised Toyota F1's Ove Andersson for his stand on supply engines to the smaller Formula One teams. Jordan said that it was "irresponsible" on the part of Andersson for saying that car manufacturers should not go down the path of supplying customer engines to private teams.

Andersson was quoted as saying that manufacturers shouldn't indulge in what amounts to "acts of charity".

Jordan was quoted as saying in an interview for F1 Racing magazine: "I've heard that Ove has said that, and I hope it's not true."

"I think it's very interesting and very irresponsible for someone like Ove to come out with a remark like that."

Currently there is a push to have the major car manufacturers supply supply affordable customer engines, at a cost of $10m, to the smaller independent teams in 2004.

When questioned as to whether he was in the market for Toyota engines if they became available Jordan said: "Yes, please. Free of charge, preferably."
