| Imola Test Summary |
| Dates: 24-26 February 2004 Location: Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola, Italy
Drivers: Olivier Panis (24-25), Cristiano da
Matta (24-26), Ryan Briscoe (26) Track Length: 4.933km "The weather in Imola this week has pretty
much dictated what we have been able to do over these final three days prior
to the first race of the year in Australia. The only day on which we were
able to complete much running was Wednesday, so we had some items left over
on our testing programme. We definitely needed more time in the new car this
week, so we must now wait until Melbourne next week to see where we line up
in comparison to the other teams." "I can't say that I have been happy with this
Imola test. Our plan was to continue to work on fine-tuning the TF104 before
we start the season next week in Australia, but we have had some
difficulties which have not been helped by the persistently unsettled
weather conditions." "Considering the difficult weather conditions that we have encountered during this test, we did a very good job today to complete a tyre test in the morning. This tyre programme was conducted to reconfirm tests that we have carried out in previous sessions and everything ran smoothly. This afternoon, we had planned to do a full wet weather tyre test, but we were forced to finish the day earlier than expected due to a problem with the oil pump fixation. I am now heading back home to Australia before the Australian Grand Prix next weekend." |
