BAR Honda joined the teams in Spain for the third day of testing, with Jenson Button setting the pace in a V10 powered BAR Honda 007. Renault was also running their V10, putting Frank Montagny in second. But, the leader of the V8’s were the Toyota pairing of Jarno Trulli and Ricardo Zonta, once again setting the pace for next years cars.

Although Zonta only completed 20 laps due to a problem, Jarno Trulli continued to pile on the laps in his TF106, rounding off the day with 65 laps. Nick Heidfeld was just behind the two Toyota’s in fifth, with returning David Coulthard in his V10 Cosworth finishing sixth.

Williams were again in action, but Nico Rosberg was struggling to get to grips with his new machine, spinning again and finally ending the day with only 18 laps to his name after a mechanical problem. Mark Webber on the other hand completed 70 laps with their new Cosworth V8.
