Teams hoping to test today at Barcelona were given a bitter cold reminder of why this long period is called 'winter testing' today. As snow fell in Spain, the air temeperature ranged from about 1 to 2 degrees celcius.

Panasonic Toyota Racing's Ralf Schumacher and Ricardo Zonta did manage to complete an installation lap but soon returned to the pit lane to escape the weather.

By lunch time the six teams present; Ferrari, Honda, McLaren, Renault, Red Bull and Toyota decided to pack up and head to Valencia, where testing is planned to resume on Monday.
