22 Teams sign up to F1 2008

If you were ever worried about the lack of interest in Formula One, well today you can rest easy. 22 teams have signed up to compete in Formula One 2008, including Toyota. But with only 12 spaces available, 10 teams are going to have to be turned down After Max Mosley opened the window to the 2008 entries, all the manufactures currently competing in Formula One, plus some new faces have shown an interest and signed on the dotted line. Paul Stoddard and Dave Richards are just some of the names who are hoping to be managing teams come 2008.

A statement from the FIA said: "The FIA has received applications from 22 teams wishing to compete in the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship." All 22 teams have been invited to a meeting in London on April 10th 2006.
