In the final practice session before this afternoons knockout qualifying, the had weather turned nasty a few hours before hand, leaving behind a drying track which got quicker as the session progressed. This was at no help to Toyota, who are still learning from their new Bridgestone tyres. Saturday – Third Session

All in all the session saw little running, as many of the teams elected not to run many laps in order to keep their car in good shape for qualifying. BMW Sauber made the most of the conditions, giving the team their first one-two with Nick Heidfeld and Jacques Villeneuve.

For Toyota, Ralf Schumacher was fifth and Jarno Trulli finished ninth, although none of the times set give a real indication to who will go where in this afternoons qualifying session.
