Once again one Ferrari and two Toyota’s filled the Paul Ricard circuit today, but this time it was Michael Schumacher on top in his Ferrari 248. Toyota again ran Jarno Trulli in the B-spec car whilst Ricardo Zonta continued testing in the current TF106. Although the day was damped by rain in the afternoon, Ricardo Zonta continued to do his duty for Toyota for the up and coming European Grand Prix. "I feel we had a constructive test, even though it rained in the afternoon and caused some challenging track conditions. Throughout most of the day, we worked on analyzing car behaviour based on issues and data that resulted at the Imola race. In the afternoon, we took advantage of the rain, and ran some wet tyre tests."

Jarno Trulli, who will be replaced by teammate Ralf Schumacher tomorrow, was very impressed with the B-spec TF106, but knows there’s along way to go. "We spent the day checking different set-ups and balance of the new car. In addition to this, we worked on dry and wet tyres tests as well as preparations for the next race at Nürburgring. I feel the car shows promise, but like everything that is new, we still have work to do and we will see at the next test how the car evolves."

Michael Schumacher will continue with Ferrari for the final day tomorrow, along with Zonta and Ralf Schumacher in the two Toyota’s.
