Toyota TF106B gets thumbs up

Toyota’s new TF106B ran for the first time in testing at Paul Ricard last week, ending the test fastest. Although nothing seems to had changed on the surface, the team are confident of a step forward, which they hope will drag them a little further up the grid. Gerd Pfeiffer, the teams Test Manager, is optimistic that the new TF106B will be a set forward when it comes to its first race in Monaco at the end of the month. “The B-car covered a lot of mileage and we will continue to work on this specification at the next test after the Spanish Grand Prix. We will return to Paul Ricard, where the circuit will be set up to simulate the conditions at the Monaco Grand Prix. The new specification is showing a good potential and we expect to use the B-car in Monte Carlo for the first time."

Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher who both tested the new TF106B at Paul Ricard are also happy with the teams progress.
