It remains to be seen if Mercedes Grand Prix can repeat another front running surge in the Turkish GP. The Chinese performance has both drivers and team in a positive frame of mind going into Istanbul.

Has the cooling system, tyre wear and other loose ends been remedied that previously hampered the team in their first two outings, or can we expect to see our cars deliver another front running performance?

One piece of the puzzle has been a triumph. MGP can be proud of topping the charts for the fastest pit stops. According to Auto Motor und Sport Mercedes has come in for 14 tyre changes, averaging 22.301 seconds from pit entrance to exit; beating McLaren and Red Bull by 0.082 and 0.288 respectively.

Nico Rosberg has said that there is no one to blame for the fuel miscalculation which thwarted his chances of a victory or a podium in China. “The race on Sunday really was one of the most exciting GP’s that I have ever driven.” In the end it’s a lesson “we learn together.”

With a three week break between races the team will review what they have and do what they can to improve the W02 even further. China’s results have given us a needed extra boost creating a positive feeling in the team.

Nico will spend time with his family, girlfriend and friends over Easter in the south of France. He will run a sprint distance triathlon on the Promenade in Nice.

Michael Schumacher felt “we had a good working day during the first outings on the Shanghai track. We changed our approach last weekend which paid off.”

Schumacher hopes of a chance to challenge for race victories. This year improved last weekend in China thanks mainly to his Mercedes team mate. Michael now feels he is ready to make a push for the podium finishes that have eluded him.

Rosberg, 25 is seventeen years younger than his senior partner, but has shown scant respect for that or his achievements. Schumacher has said, " he would not have it any other way."

“We race for the same team and we race hard against each other too. I am delighted for Nico when he has success.”

What ever it was, it still was more than great to see MERC in p1 at race for few laps. And fighting with top cars. JUST GREAT!!!!
