Is the making of another dream team being shattered before it gets off the ground. Mercedes fans are once again in limbo as executives shuffle the last minute cards.

Lewis Hamilton’s dream may be over before it begins. His teaming up with Ross Brawn becomes more in doubt daily with every new F1 news article that hits the various Medias. The last item released on BBC Sport was from Eddie Jordan when he told the network Ross was on his way out along with Nick Fry the team’s chief executive.

Mercedes-Benz Motorsport boss ToTo Wolff has played down the speculation saying “Ross is here in the part of leading the team and I hope Ross is going to stay.

Jordan also claimed Mercedes have signed Paddy Lowe from McLaren, adding “he won’t be technical director; he’ll be more senior than that.  But, he won’t be called team principal either, because that will be Wolff.” Lowe will effectively be running the team on a day to day basis.

The deal appears to be far from over with the Daily Mail reporting that McLaren executive Ron Dennis is ready to take out his cheque book to hold onto Lowe. Lowe earns 600,000 pounds a year and could expect 900,000 pounds at Mercedes. Dennis has offered Lowe a raise but not so much that it gravely distorts the company’s pay structure.

The changing of personnel this late in the game could cause detrimental setbacks for Mercedes F1 AMG. It’s putting a damper on the recent enthusiasm generated with the signing of Lewis Hamilton.  Let’s hope Administrative adjustments don’t interfere with the production of a fast car.
