Button's new plaything (yes, it's a car)

Lucky Strike BAR Honda's star driver, Jenson Button, has taken delivery of another new plaything - a brand new £70,000 Honda NSX Type-R. The two-seater sports car is powered by a 3.2 litre V6 engine, and was partly developed by the late Ayrton Senna. It's as close to a Ferrari as any Japanese manufacturer has got.

Capable of getting to 60 mph from standstill in 5 seconds, it's a bit slower than Jenson's work vehicle, but then he doesn't get air-conditioning, hand stitched leather trim, a Bose sound system, cruise control and electric windows.

It's not the first time Jenson has driven a company car - he had a custard yellow BMW M3 when driving for Williams, and a Renault Clio V6 while at the French team.

Jenson commented "I know that the thing's capable of 170mph but I promise you, I'll be sensible on the road."

This coming from the man booked for travelling at over 140mph in a BMW 330D back in 2000.
