Takuma Sato unhurt in testing smash

Lucky Strike BAR Honda's third driver, Takuma Sato, had a minor accident today during his first day of testing at the Mugello circuit in Italy.
He put a wheel on the grass at the high-speed turn 8, where he was travelling at approximately 250kph, and lost control of his car before hitting the tyre wall. The accident happened at approximately 15:20.
Takuma banged his lower left leg in the crash. He was checked over by medical staff at the circuit and, as a precaution, was taken to the nearby Borgo San Lorenzo hospital for a routine X-ray.
The accident caused minimal damage to the BAR Honda 005. There is some slight bodywork and suspension damage, however the car will be repaired and ready to run tomorrow, when Takuma is also expected to be back in the driving seat.
