Day one of the proposed three-day test began at the Paul Ricard circuit in France yesterday with Anthony Davidson driving chassis 007-01 and Enrique Bernoldi in the ’05 Concept car.
In the morning session, Anthony ran through some early set-up work to find a good balance before completing an aerodynamic evaluation for a total of 81 laps. Enrique also completed early set-up runs before moving onto a tyre evaluation, running through options for the forthcoming races. He completed 96 laps in the morning session.
Anthony continued with his aerodynamic evaluation programme in the afternoon, completing 86 laps to bring his final lap tally for the day to 167 laps. He also set the fastest time of the day – a 01:04.17.
Enrique also continued his tyre evaluation from the morning, concentrating on longer runs. He completed a very impressive 176 laps in total.
Both drivers successfully completed their test programmes today covering a combined total of 343 laps and 1664 kms.
Jenson will join the test today, taking over in chassis 007-01 from Anthony. Anthony will run in the '05 Concept car.
