Jenson Button was less than enthusiastic after his fifth place finish today, complaining that his BAR Honda is lacking grip compared to the McLaren and Renault cars. "You can't expect any more [than fifth] really because the top two cars are just staggering," explained Jenson Button. "The difference in performance is amazing. Watching them through Becketts and Copse the difference is just another world.

"It's a little bit worrying for the rest of the year, but one positive thing is that I finished 33 seconds in front of any other competition."

The next car to follow Jenson over the line was seven times World Champion Michael Schumacher, just over 35 seconds behind the Englishman.

"Before the first pitstop I thought we'd be stopping around the same lap [as McLaren and Renault] but we didn't, we stopped earlier," said Jenson. "And then after that they just disappeared.

"It wasn't an issue of just one end of the car, we just don't seem to have enough grip compared to the top two teams."

His race was also compromised slightly by a lack of signals to the drivers. "The blue flags were pretty awful. Blue flags just weren't coming out, I don't know why."

The team will now spend three days testing at Jerez before hading to Hockenheim for the German Grand Prix.
