News reached us last week that the team were due to hold a photo call at Shanghai to show off thier new racing colours. At the Silverstone test we were able to establish that the team were just changing the car livery and nothing else. We have since found out more...

The team will hold its photo call at 16:00 local time in Shanghai today and will feature both the Spyker MF1 M16 in it's final racing livery the drivers apparently all sporting new gear. The situation around the mechanics and other team personnel is a little unclear, but we are lead to believe that there will be changes here also from this race weekend onwards.

In the team press release about the photo call, Victor Muller CEO of Spyker Cars and the Spyker MF1 team has been quoted as saying, "It is quite amazing what a change of colours and design can do to the appearance of a Formula One car. They are by nature elegant and fit the purpose but with the right colours and design one can underline these qualities to the point that they become breath taking. I am very pleased with the result and thank the other teams and the FIA for their cooperation to make this livery change possible at such short notice."

The photo call was due to place outside the team garage at 09:00 UK time but as yet we've not seen any of the results. In addition several websites featuring pictures from today at Shanghai clearly show Spyker MF1 personnel still wearing Midland F1 shirts etc. More on this if we hear it..
