Adrian Sutil ran 86 laps of the Jerez circuit on Wednesday, taking over from Tonio Liuzzi. High winds meant the German had some balance issues, but the good news is that no major problems were otherwise experienced on the day. Adrian concentrated on race simulations, reflected in the timesheets with the Force driver setting the slowest time of the day.

Adrian's time, a 1m22.244 was 0.534s slower than his nearest competitor, Rubens Barrichello. Ahead of the Brazilian were two more Honda powered cars - the Sper Aguri of Takuma Sato in 14th and the works Honda of Jenson Button in 13th, with a time 1.097s faster than Sutil.

Adrian said, 'Even though the weather today was clear, the winds were so strong that it was difficult to do any real work on set-up as we had planned.

'Sometimes the balance was good, sometimes it was bad and you just couldn't tell very much from the laps.

'We still managed to do 86 laps though with no mechanical problems, which is useful, particularly after we had a shortened day last time.'

The fastest time of the day was set by RBR's Mark Webber, a 1m18.628, more than four tenths clear of his nearest rival, Nico Rosberg.

Giancarlo Fisichella will take over from Sutil on the final day of testing on Thursday.
