Timing error disappoints Midland

A timing glitch at the Nurburgring when a red flag was thrown by mistake. This allowed Christijan Albers to sneak into 16th spot and take Midland into the second session of qualifying for the first time.

Stewards looking at the times provided by Red Bull Racing decided that Klien and Villeneuve had gone faster and Christijan's time was dropped to 18th place.

We have to wait to see where the Williams drivers finish.  They have changed their engines and will have to take 10 place penalties.  I suppose a suggestion is that the 10 place penalty is applied to your first qualifying session.  This may give some of the little fella's a chance.

Naturally, the Midland fans are just as disappointed by the stewards decisions as no doubt are the team.  We'll have reaction from the team as soon as available.
