With clear ambitions to force their way into Q2 today, Force India unfortunately missed the cut, with both drivers missing out on getting through to Q2 by just under a second. With no repeat peformance of his 9th place in FP3 this morning, Fisichella ended up with the 17th fastest time, his young team mate two places behind.

Sutil spun on his final flyer, with other drivers on track, including Fisi, being forced to lift off under the yellows, hindering his chances of improvement. Adrian commented, "On my last lap I felt it was going well until the second sector but when I got to the quick left-right chicane in sector three I got a lot of understeer and went wide on the exit. The car jumped and I couldn't control it and spun."

Commenting on the same incident, Fisi said, "there was a yellow flag but there was also a lot of graining on the tyres and I lost at least three tenths."

Also out alongside the Force drivers in the newly extended Q1 session were the Aguris, and rookies Bourdais and Piquet.

Both drivers will, however move up one place due to the relegation of Timo Glock down the grid for two separate reasons. The German was relegated 5 places for a gearbox change and a further five for impeding Mark Webber.

This means Fisichella will line up 16th behind Kimi Raikkonen who experienced a fuelpump failure and could take no further part in Q2.

Sutil will start 18th, in front will be the Toro Rosso of Sebastien Bourdais, with the faster Toyota of the relegated Timo Glock behind him.

Ultimately, it was Lewis Hamilton who set the pole time, he'll be joined on the front row by Robert Kubica.

Looking forward to the race, Mike Gascoyne commented, "we know we have got a competitive car relative to others so we have to look to pick up more places tomorrow."
