After two hours of racing, the most exciting Hungarian Grand Prix ever produced the most dramatic result - a first win for Honda Racing F1's Jenson Button! Starting on a soaked circuit, Jenson rose from 14th on the grid, a legacy of his late engine change on Saturday, to fourth after just a handful of laps. Through a drying track surface, then a shower, and then a late change to dry tyres, Jenson continued to drive majestically, closing down on race leader and World Champion Fernando Alonso.

Bringing the gap down by around two seconds a lap, Button was handed the lead on lap 52 when Alonso's Renault suffered a rare mechanical failure. From that point, he was left unchallenged, finishing at the head of the field, in front of McLaren's Pedro de la Rosa and BMW-Sauber's Nick Heidfeld.

On his 113th start, the Briton has finally achieved his first objective in Formula One. By winning the Hungarian Grand Prix, Jenson becomes the first British winner in 63 races, and becomes the 96th race winner in history, from 797 drivers.
