Honda Racing F1 have teamed up with Laverstoke Park in Hampshire, the self-proclaimed biggest small-holding in the world, recognised as one of the UK's leading organic farms. The park, owned and run by former F1 world champion Jody Scheckter, will provide organic meats, dairy produce, fruit and vegetables to the team for its hospitality operations during the European season.

The park staff look after cattle, water buffalo, pigs, wild boar, sheep and poultry, as they aim is to produce the best-tasting, healthiest food. To achieve this they have created the most ideal, naturally healthy, environment that they possibly can.

Honda's relationship with Scheckter and Laverstoke Park has evolved as a direct result of the team's pioneering new environmental awareness campaign spearheaded by the myearthdream.com concept. As the partnership develops, the team will be investigating further synergies between the two enterprises, including the possible conversion of the team's transporter fleet to run on pure plant oil fuel.

It soon became evident that there were many synergies between Laverstoke Park and not only the Honda Racing F1 Team but also some of the conservation work which Honda does in Japan. Laverstoke Park host an open day each year, with the public allowed access to the park where they can view the animals and be kept occupied buy the entertainment provided. Last year saw F1 cars, falconry, circus acts, parachute displays, line dancing and a cookery demonstration by Raymond Blanc, with all profits being donated to local charities. Details for 2007 have yet to be annoucned, but will appear on the Laverstoke Park website.
