Simply use the box below and introduce yourself to the regular RealHondaF1.com users.

We're a knowledgeable, helpful, friendly bunch of people, so don't be scared. Your views will also be seen by staff at the Honda Racing F1 Team, so there's no excuse not to join in.

It's going to be a great year, with some fantastic plans for the site and its users, and we want you all involved.

The small print: There is currently no need to register to use the message board while we encourage first time users, but this will change. Register here. Does this mean that some ladies and/or gents from the Honda Team are also lurking? (Sm12)
If yes, a big welcome goes to them, as well! (Sm150) (Sm14)(Sm42)(Sm128)
Would be nice to see your posts here, too... (Sm14)

Some interesting and/or funny, etc. insider stories from the F1 paddock, stories about people, cities, circuits, etc... Now THAT would be really great, wouldn't it? (Sm14) Although, I'm not sure that members of the team are allowed to join us here on the forum...
But it would be nice to see that an F1 team - "our" team - cares about its fans and keeps "personal" contact to them. It would make the Honda team even more "human", much more sympathetic, IMO. This is also a good way to gain the support of more fans, I think...

It means exactly that. And there's quite a few that don't lurk, too (although they're normally more disgruntled staffers letting off a bit of anonymous steam!)

Hi everyone, nice to meet you. I am a physicist living in the USA, my work is in the design of x-ray imaging systems. Since F1 is barely on the radar where I live and the USGP is no longer on the schedule, I tend to come here for fan discussions. I post from time to time but mostly I lurk. Looking forward to more good posts and articles on the Honda board.

hello, I've recently found this website being linked through another forum. I've been lurking since winter testing. I live in the USA. I am a Fire Protection Engineer that has experience working with CFD models and my dream is to get into F1 aero....not likely i know (Sm64).

I tend to come here to try to find info on the Honda team. It's tough sometimes and my wife finds it odd that my friends and i get together at all hours of the day and night to watch practice, qualifying and races live.

Big honda supporter in F1 and MotoGP. All honda products. Former NSX owner and my wife owns a 99 SI. Last year was pretty tough but we have lots of key components that looks like it has been and will continue to infuse the team with energy.

Hi there
The funny thing is that I have been following this site for quite many years. I used to be reasonably active in the forum but have dropped out largely due to work commitments. I have since changed careers from IT to photography and writing. You can visit my site at [www.zone-10.com...you] most definitely welcome. In fact I'd love to see some of you posting your F1 images at our gallery...that would be fantastic.
I used to work for Honda Australia at one time quite some years back. Have been a very strong and loyal Honda follower and user of its products, F1 and MotoGP and all other races. Currently reading a book on Honda's (oops can't remember the name) rise as a carmaker....excellent book, very detailed look at its development history and the problems they encountered. Very excited about Ross Brawn's joining and feel so much more assured that we're now in good hands.

Hi there,

I come to read here for info I didn't find myself and it's being helpfull. I am fan of honda sinds the end of 1987 so was very lucky to come in right at the top.I have scale models of every honda f1 car from the 60's except 1967.also I collect prospects of honda cars and try to get my hands on books although there are not many.
Honda TV is great and I think that many Honda fans would love to watch honda on a webcam hanging in the garage at race weekends and testing maybe even a couple hanging at the factory.
At renault there is a blog with a member of the team posting info and answering questions, something for honda?
I hope honda in japan have learned from the years and that succes is round the corner.
take care
greatings from Belgium

I'm a regular poster, but would like more information on how to become a lurker. Here in the States, it's called 'Stalking' and you can go to jail for it. I would love to learn to lurk legally.

Hi, I'm Alex. I would definitely fall under the definition of a lurker as this is usually the first or second place I check when I'm online each day! Let's see... I'm currently 22, attending school and studying graphic design. I've been watching F1 since 2003 and have been a Honda supporter since probably Indy 2004. I hope to post here more often now that I've signed up!

Cheers, Alex

Hello, my name is Dale. I enjoy lurking the Real Honda F1 site, largely as Phil does a fantastic job on his site and I very much enjoy his stories and features.

In fact, I saw Phil's site as somewhat of an inspiration for my own. Oh, how the student surpasses the teacher. Oooooh, only jesting, surely.

HAHA winking smiley

Great work Phil. Let us just hope you have positive news to report on this season. [:wor kid:]

Anyone know why the smileys have gone on strike on this thread, the siverstone testing, and the Honda steering wheel thread?

Previous threads are still OK.

It's a bug that happens when a thread is linked directly to a story. A fix is being worked on, but it's obviously not ready yet.

yeah, I do what I can... (Sm12)
I've sent some of my pics from 2006 to Honda (for the fans' gallery on the team's official website), and one of them has been published on the site (in November 2007, it's photo No. 11 of Rubens on the grid). Unfortunately I didn't win with it, but well... My camera was only a few days old, when I shot those pics. (Sm7) Last year's photos are better, I think... I'll send some of them to Honda, who knows maybe they'll like them...

BTW: your Honda-photos are excellent as well, but I especially like your photoshop work for this year's Turkish GP. (Sm14)
