Ross has basically apologized for the lack of dependability Mercedes has provided to Schumacher.

Mercedes is at a critical point in the season and all the reasons for not being where the team was hoping to be are over. Both cars must finish in the points for the remainder of the 2012 challenge if they expect a decent share of the constructors points.

Michael’s run of bad luck also has to cease so the Arrows can get on track.  Silverstone can present a mixed bag, but both of our drivers must avoid errors and get to the end in the points. If it rains, MS’s rainmeister qualities have to be pulled from his bag of tricks. Nico as well can’t allow anything to thwart his performance. The thick of the season is vital for the team to take advantage of all the familiar tracks. The car should work well on most of these venues. It must be assumed Mercedes will have as many up-dates as their competition, so an even playing field will hopefully be provided. Actual news of up-grades has been held closely to the teams chest.

The track itself has had several upgrades and is ready for its annual F1invasion. Fernado Alonso holds the current track record which he set in2010. It will be a 52 lap race on the18 cornered circuit. The lap distance is 5,891 km and the weather has been up-dated to expect rain.

The tires are designated as hard (marked silver) and soft (marked yellow) but we may see intermediate and full wet tires if the expected rain hits Silverstone. The DRS zones are yet to be determined.

As mentioned above Mercedes is in a must mode to perform. What’s really left to say to our Silver Arrows team is “The best of luck.”
