Difficult start for BAR Honda
BAR 005 1/2 Testing

The new 'concept' for 2004 hit the tracks today, as Jenson Button took the hybrid Lucky Strike BAR Honda car out for its first test.
Running on Michelin tyres for the first time, the BAR 005 1/2 (as we call it) only managed a handful of laps as it was beset by problems. A best time of 1:31.792 was over 13 seconds off the pace as the car failed to complete a single lap without problems.
Takuma Sato, in contrast, took out the 2003 BAR 005 and managed 45 laps. A best time of 1:18.556 was only 0.757 seconds slower than the fastest Ferrari of Luca Badoer.
Testing continues until Thursday.
