BAR among the pacesetters at Valencia

Lucky Strike BAR Honda drivers Jenson Button and Takuma Sato set top four lap times as the team switched its test programme to Valencia. Having been in impressive form at both Barcelona and Jerez during the past two weeks, the busy Lucky Strike BAR Honda test team has moved to Valencia for another critical three-day test programme in the final build-up to the F1 season opener in Melbourne.

With three cars ready in the garage, the test team was greeted by a sunny but cold track in Valencia on Wednesday morning. Jenson Button and Takuma Sato drove BAR Honda 006s with Anthony Davidson at the wheel of the 2004 Concept car.

Jenson completed a total of 91 laps, and recorded the second fastest time of the day. Takuma completed 72 laps setting the fourth fastest time of the day. Anthony completed 80 laps for the day but a problem sidelined his car for some of the afternoon.
