Three times world champion Sir Jackie Stewart has backed Rubens Barrichello over Jenson Button next year, as the two drivers fight it out at BAR Honda. "It will be a fascinating duel between Jenson and Rubens next season," Stewart told the Mail on Sunday. "I rate Jenson very highly as a driver but I think Rubens is much more together right now."

Perhaps having a stab at Jenson's perceived 'playboy' lifestyle, Stewart adds that it could be the main difference between the two. "Rubens has got the peripheral lifestyle right, the focus, commitment and knowledge," he continues. "And he has won races, so he had broken that barrier.

"Both are desperate to be world champions but Rubens knows how to be world champion better."

Jenson Button has now competed in 100 Grands Prix, yet still hasn't managed to secure a win. Sir Jackie doesn't see that as an issue, however, adding "It is just a matter of when, but I don't have any doubts about his abilities."
