Autosport has been speaking with Spyker's Mike Gascoyne about the teams plans for 2007 and his own plans for the future. It would appear that the 2007 car will undergo a major reworking for the later half of the season.

Gascoyne left Totota after the Australian Grand Prix.  He joined Spyker in November but this was far too late to have any influence on James Key's design for the start of the season.  The magazine suggests that there could be a whole new spec introduced from the middle of the year.

"There's absolutely no point in changing too much at the moment, we're restructuring for the future." he told Autosport Magazine.  "I'm not concentrating on Melbourne because I can't turn things around in that time frame." 

Spyker is likely to be the place where Gascoyne finishes his long and distinguished career in Formula One.  "I don't want to do this forever" he said. "That's one thing I definitely know.  This will probably be my last job in F1. If I'm here for three years that will take me to (the age of) 46 and I'll have worked in F1 for 20 years."

"I think by then maybe it'll be time to go off and sail around the world."
