Valles in for Spanish GP drive with Spyker?

Aside from injury, I cannot remember a race where a test driver took a regular race drivers place. However, if todays stories are to be believed, it would appear that "rumoured to be signed" Spyker F1 test driver Adrian Valles is gunning for a one off race drive deal with the team. News agency GMM are pushing out the latest chapter in Valles' passage into F1 motorsport, and as I write not many media outlets are carrying it.

GMM claim that the newspaper 'Marca', presumably a Spanish paper, have published an article claiming that Adrian has indeed signed a one year test deal with Spyker F1. As if in answer to rumblings about Spyker F1 signing a pay driver, the paper reports to have stated that Valles clinched the test drive deal because of strong backing from the 'Circuit de la Comunitat Ricardo Tormo' - Valencia - track.

The 'Marca' article also reports that the drivers management are negotiating hard for Adrian to take one of the race seats at the Spanish Grand Prix in May.

Should Spyker F1 allow this to happen? Would it have a negative impact on the credibility of the team? Is it a good thing, that should happen more often? Have your say on our message board.
