Midland confirm race deal for Christijan Albers

The team has already confirmed that it's test driver will be Nicky Pastorelli, another Dutchman, so at this time the driver talent is decidedly 'orange' to say the least. Albers joins from Minardi where he scored 4 points in the controversial USGP where only the Bridgestone shod teams competed. The final race seat at Midland is now likely to be a hot topic for debate, with BAR refugee Takuma Sato, BAR test driver Anthony Davidson, and 2005 Jordan race drivers Tiago Monteiro and Narain Karthikeyan all hotly tipped to take it.
