The secret is out - Monteiro at Midland !

Despite disclosures from various sources to us here at MF1O, we've always insisted that the fans should wait until an official announcement from the team concerning the F1 future of Tiago Monteiro. The FIA, it appears, had other ideas. News sources across the internet have interpreted the entry list in different ways. Most have focused on the absence of Suzuki Aguri from the list, speculating that his team was struggling to raise the US$ 48 million entrance fee.

For us here at MF1O the appearance of Tiago Monteiro on the list alongside Christijan Albers as a driver for Midland F Racing is the news we've all been waiting for. I can't see how the team can't avoid confirming him now !

On a personal note I am thrilled for Tiago. He deserves the drive, and if he can continue to bring the car home each race then opportunity will come to him just like it did in the rain at Belgium.

Congratualtions Tiago. I will certainly be watching you.
