Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica are team-mates and also rivals, but they also have a joint goal: to score World Championship points for the BMW Sauber F1 Team. Robert talks about the importance of having a good team-mate and how he is happy to cooperate with an experienced driver such as Nick. Formula One is a team sport: and its not only the pit crew that has to cooperate perfectly to avoid losing valuable seconds during the pit stops. The drivers also support each other on their way to going even quicker. "Of course your team-mate gives you some sort of idea of the pace of the car, but it is also true a good team-mate will push you," explains Robert. "You push yourself and he pushes you, and this helps with the development of the car so it is really important to have a good team-mate."

Robert's strong performance in the Hungarian Grand Prix has provided him with a lot of self-confidence. He admits he wouldn't even mind being teamed-up with the sport's top stars. "I am not scared to have Alonso or Schumacher as my team-mates, but we have Nick who is also very experienced and fast so that is really good."
