At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Nick Heidfeld was able to finish on the podium for the first time. Now the German is hoping for another good result in Istanbul. The race is, however, not the only big challenge for the BMW Sauber F1 Team driver in Turkey. "The Turkish Grand Prix brings to mind first and foremost the traffic chaos you have to battle your way through to get from the circuit into town and vice-versa," says Nick. "Last year I hired a mobile home to be able to sleep at the track, although the city of Istanbul is really beautiful and has a lot of attractions."

However, the Bosporus metropolis is not the only appealing aspect to Nick. The "Istanbul Speed Park" also has a lot to offer according to the 29-year-old: "It is possible to overtake on the new track, which is positive," Nick confirms. "It has a really long straight and a very fast and difficult corner with several apexes. That's turn 8, which I'm really looking forward to. From slow to high-speed turns, Istanbul has everything."

Following his third place in Hungary, Nick enters the 14th race of the 2006 season highly motivated and brimming with confidence: "My third place in Hungary was a brilliant result for our young team. I hope we get some good results in Istanbul as well."
