Sebastian Vettel's Italian Grand Prix work for the BMW Sauber F1 Team was completed when the second free Friday practice session came to an end. But naturally, the young gun also kept an eye on the Saturday and Sunday action - and was delighted with the team's great result. During the race, Sebastian kept his fingers crossed for his team-mates, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica. "It was a thrilling start," says the 19-year-old, "With Nick unfortunately dropping back by several positions. But then, both delivered a fine race."

Sebastian also thinks that Nick's Drive-Through-Penalty prevented an even better result. "Unfortunately there was a problem with Nick's speed limiter," reveals the German. "Otherwise, I think that we might have finished third and fourth."

When it comes to his own contribution to last weekend's success, Sebastian displays his usual modesty: "I tried to contribute a little on Friday," he says. "And I'm happy if this contribution turned out to be helpful. But they have been the men at the wheel, therefore, they are the ones to be congratulated.

On Saturday and Sunday, Sebastian had to cope with the role of spectator but soon, he will be back at the wheel of the BMW Sauber F1.06 himself. "Next week, I'm going to carry out another Formula One test at Jerez," he says. "Afterwards I'm going to travel to Barcelona for the next Formula 3 round."
