According to well-connected Blick's Roger Benoit, and backed by our sources, we can reveal that there is now nothing stopping Spaniard Pedro de la Rosa from getting the 2nd Sauber seat, and will be confirmed next week. We hear the contract could be ready to be signed "and sealed".

Announcement is likely to happen early in the week.

More details to come soon

Finally we will know both drivers!

At least Pedro should develop well the car...

Pedro has more threads now on our forum than MS lol

But if it cannot be Nick for money reasons, Pedro is good choice. Even better if he brings sponsorship.

He will motivated to be back racing, regardless how good/bad car will be. Years at McLaren didn't hurt his car development experience neither.

Gemm,

Sorry to see this is a terrible line-up. And we thought last year was a bust; we haven't seen anything yet IMO.
Limited money, mid-field at best, with A grand pa and grandson team. A very sad situation.

sessions,

this is 'glass half full' case

Few months ago, we did not even know if Hinwil be on grid.

Sauber's grand prize this year is to balance the books. Nobody thinks about podiums or high points now.

Keep the jobs, have money for the paychecks, get through whole season - these are points higher on Peter's agenda

Gemm,

I follow your drift, and I am glad to see Sauber there and many jobs saved, but since Peter went to all the work to salvage things they could have at least picked drivers with some status for a lack of a better word. Anyway as you said there will be a mass exodus of posters and we can see how the half cup evolves.
