...now we just await the name to be revealed. Expect the announcement in the coming days. According to the interview published in the newspaper 'NZZ am Sonntag' the 2nd driver at Sauber is an experienced man. That reduces the list to Nick Heidfeld and Pedro de la Rosa, but with Fisichella being an "outsider" contender too, as we have been revealing in the past weeks.
This can lead to speculation...
From what we hear, and the way things are said, the Sauber driver will be Pedro Martinez de la Rosa, with Nick Heidfeld heading to Renault. We shall see.
Who would you like or expect to be partnering Kobayashi? Let us know your opinion below.
On a final note we would to point out at the fake Peter Sauber Twitter account. Quite a big mess was generated, but it was clear for us from the beginning, and we told so, that it wasn't the real Peter Sauber behind. It strikes us how many media outlets failed to spot important details such as the Hinwil name -town where the factory is located- spelled badly twice -it was written as Hinwill-, which for a man who has had the factory there for about two decades is...well, an impossible mistake. To make it worse the other tweets didn't make sense in the context of how F1 and the teams work.
Funnily, however, that fake account may get right that the 2nd Sauber driver will be named next week. Not a difficult guess though...
