Only once, in 2005, has Nick Heidfeld secured a better grid position for the Monaco Grand Prix than seventh. In that race, the German clinched a podium finish. Find out more here, where we show you the keys of tomorrow's race. .

- For the third time since they became team-mates Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica share the same row on a Formula One starting grid. In the 2006 Hungarian GP the BMW Sauber F1 Team pairing started the race from row five. In qualifying for the 2007 Bahrain GP the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers qualified for row three. This time the fourth row of the grid is held by the BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers.

- It's Robert's first Monaco GP as a BMW Sauber F1 Team GP regular. In the qualifying session he secured eighth position on the grid. In the 2006 Turkish GP, the 23-year-old clinched the same grid position and subsequently finished twelfth in the race.

- Only once, has Nick succeeded in securing a better grid position for the Monaco GP than this year. In 2005, he was sixth on the grid and in the race he battled his way up to finish second, thus celebrating a podium finish. This time, he is seventh on the grid.

- It's the tenth time that Nick has started seventh on a Formula One grid. This grid position hasn't been a lucky one for the German in the past. Only twice has he scored points from this position, the other four times he had to retire.

- In the team-internal qualifying battle Nick now leads 4:1

- The BMW Sauber F1 Team's best qualifying result of the season so far was achieved in Australia, where Nick and Robert qualified third and fifth respectively.

- Nick's best Monaco GP result to date is runner-up in 2005.

- In qualifying for the Monaco GP, the BMW Sauber F1 Team was one of only three outfits that secured top ten grid positions with both their cars. While the McLaren drivers share row one, the Honda drivers complete the top ten in positions nine and ten. The other four top-ten spots were secured by a Ferrari, a Renault, a Red Bull and a Williams.

- This Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix will be the 773rd Formula One World Championship round. When the starting lights are switched off at 14:00hrs CEST (13.00hrs BST), the drivers will have to complete 78 laps on their way to crossing the finish line.
