In qualifying for the 2007 French Grand Prix at the "Circuit de Nevers", both BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers established new personal records. Robert qualified 4th, and Nick secured 7th place on the grid - their best ever grid slots at Magny-Cours. Learn more.

- On his return to the pinnacle of motor racing, Robert Kubica celebrated a great result right at the outset. Never before had he qualified for a position on the second row of a Formula One starting grid. At Magny-Cours, however, he has qualified fourth while Nick will start the race from seventh position.

- Robert shares row two with Ferrari's Kimi Räikkönen. Nick starts next to Jarno Trulli (Toyota).

- Never before has Nick secured a better French GP grid position than this year. Previously, the German has succeeded just once in clinching a top-ten grid position: in 2001 he qualified ninth.

- Robert is contesting his maiden French Grand Prix as a BMW Sauber F1 Team GP regular. However, he caused a stir at Magny-Cours as early as 2006 when he proved to be the quickest in both Friday practice sessions with the BMW Sauber F1.06.

- For the twelfth time in his career, Nick is seventh on a Formula One starting grid. The last time he started from this position was the 2007 Monaco GP. In that race, he finished sixth.

- In the BMW Sauber F1 Team's internal qualifying battle, Nick now leads 5:2.

- Nick's best race result at the "Circuit de Nevers" to date is the sixth place he clinched back in 2001.

- This Sunday's French GP represents the 776th Formula One World Championship round. The red starting lights will be switched off at 14:00hrs CEST (13:00hrs BST).
