Mario Theissen has reacted after Mosley dismiss words on the eletric KERS compared to the flywheel tech. Mosley had been asked: "Mario Theissen said at the BMW Sauber launch that he felt the flywheel system had no application for the road car industry, and said he wasn't interested..."

To what Mosley replied: "Well, he probably hasn't thought it through. He would be right if there were battery/super capacitor combinations that were very close to being practical – but all the information is that there isn't. All these cars – you get these electric cars but if you drive them fast they just don't have the energy. Good old Mario, but I think he may have got that wrong."

Theissen couldn't wait to answer.

"It is good that Max is learning about the engineering sides of the car," said Mario Theissen, "I think with a little further understanding he may soon know as much as Flavio Briatore."

Very good answer Mario!

Certainly it made us laugh, and his argument holds water.

Lets remember Theissen himself has a PhD in Mechanical engineering (in the prestigious Munich university), and BMW is believed to have top notch technology, both KERS and efficiency improvement (road cars "Efficient Dynamics") ones.

Let alone ethat the electric based solution (electric motor/generador +batteries) has been the election of all the teams of the grid excepting Williams, as far as we are aware.

Once again Mosley's arrogance comments get a good answer.
