BMWSauber has chosen its third driver/tester

Kubica understands the true benefit of being third driver in F1, by saying that "For a young driver like me the three car rule is a godsend." He continues, by saying"...but I will get to know all 19 GP circuits, and the ins and outs of a GP weekend." Well, to tell you the truth, I know nothing about this young fellow, let alone what the 'World Series by Renault' is.

Coverage of events like this is pretty much non existant in North America, neither in print or electronic media.

I suppose I could have known about him through the web, but, I didn't even know the series existed!

Yet, what should I realistically expect?

The media in Canada seem to refuse to follow up on 'new' JV news.

For that matter, there was nothing today about Alonso (The current WC moving to McLaren in 2007!).

So, I have some 'searching' to do on our new driver/tester, to see what he's all about.

However, if his statements above are any indication, he seems to be a bright young fella with a good head on his shoulders.

New drivers into F1 should have a full year of Friday 'testing', to both become familiar with the car, the other cars, and the tracks.

Its hands down, the best situation any young entry driver could ask for!

And theres a very good chance it will lead him to a full on race seat!
