Mario Theissen leaves Sauber and F1

Current BMW Motorsport director Mario Theissen had to choose between joining the reincarnation of SauberF1 or staying as the leader of the BMW racing activities...finally he announced that he will stay in his current role, saying bye to F1...for a while?

Theissen laconically said: "in Hinwil it is now the end of an era, and I will remain as motorsport director at BMW".

So another F1 character is gone. Some were passionate towards him, some not, but it is doubtless that he didn't leave unimpressed anyone. See you Mario...soon?
