Formula One's summer break comes to an end on Sunday. Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld return to the track at the European Grand Prix in Valencia Having joined the rest of the Formula One teams in shutting down its facilities for 14 days, the BMW Sauber F1 Team is now looking forward to returning to action in the 11th race of the season at the "Valencia Street Circuit". Following the announcement by BMW that it will be pulling out of Formula One at the end of the season, the members of the team now have an extra source of motivation; performing as well as possible will promote their case for a future in the sport.

"Formula One celebrated a successful premiere at the Valencia portside complex last year," says BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen. "The atmosphere was fantastic and there was a great feeling around the place. Things also went well for us in terms of the race result, with Robert finishing on the podium in third place."

Last year, Ferrari driver Felipe Massa clinched victory at the premiere of the street circuit, which runs along Valencia's harbour district. Massa is currently in Brazil recovering from his horrific accident in Hungary.
