Fernando Alonso released from hospital!

Renault Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso has been released from the hospital this morning after spending 12 hours in observation after his heavy crash at yesterday's race. A Renault F1 spokewoman stated that Spanish Driver Alonso was released from the Hospital and given clearance to return home today.

The team expects Alonso to rest an dheal from a bruised knee and is aware that Alonso would have to pass a medical examination before being allowed to drive at Imola in 2 week's time.

Alonso scored yesterdays his second consecutive podium position in only 3 races for Renault when the race was stopped after his crash and Mark Webber's crash left the track full of debris an tyres.

Alonso run through one of Webbers tyres hitting two barriers as half of his car desintegrated.

The race was immediatelly stopped and since more than 75% had been run was deemed finished with the order set of 2 laps earlier in which he was running 3rd behind Fisichella and Raikkonen.
