Alonso 2006 Champion!

Renaults Fernando Alonso claimed the 2006 World Drivers Championship in todays thrilling Brazilian Grand Prix! The young Spaniard finished second to Ferrari's Fillipe Massa. The race was a thrilling and tense afair as both titles were being decided between Ferrari and Renault Fernando Alonso secured his second world championship in 2 seasons and claimed back to back titles as he took second place in todays race as he secured second position. Ferrari's Fillipe Massa stormed to victory in his home race and Hondas Jenson Button completed the podium as the Briton drove a stella race from his 14th place grid position.

Alonso's title rival Michael Schumacher drove his last race in style while trying to recover from a puncture he recieved from some debris that was from Nicos Rosebergs williams. Although his brillaint drive was not enough to secure the drivers championship or help Ferrari in their quest for the World Constructors Championship, as Renault claimed their second constructors title in 2 seasons as Fisichella managed to bring home his Renault in 6th place.

The Day belong to the Renault F1 Team and Fernando Alonso as they claimed both of the world titles for the second year in a Row!
