Trulli's race engineer is confident of Renault!

Jarno Trulli's race engineer is showing the team's confidence and optimism by arguing that the R23 is a great car with a very high degree of reliability. Permane says that the start of the season is better than expected:

"The start of the season has obviously gone very well for us - we knew we had a quick car but were a little worried about reliability, the R23 has shown that it is strong in both areas and we are confident for the rest of the season."

The chassis is superb." Added Permane "It's very easy to set up and generally well balanced from the 1st run, we then can spend time playing with the aerodynamics and the mechanical setup to maximise grip and improve laptime.

New parts will be ready for Imola and the team is expecting to build from their strengths:

"The atmosphere is very good here, we have several new performance parts coming for Imola and people are working hard to design and produce them. The feeling here is that we are competitive enough to finish 3rd in the championship and to win one or two races this year."
