Alonso disappointed on his effort!

Alonso was dissapointed with his performance at the end of the qualifying session. After finishing 4th on the first free practice he had hopes to finish higher up the grid today. However, some mistakes prevented him from reaching a higher position today:

"It was a tough first day, as usually on Monaco. I am disappointed of how things have gone on the qualifying, but fortunately is only Friday, and the real things will be on Saturday, and as things go better on Saturday and Sunday I am not worried too much, however, it just shows how complicated is this track. It is easy to touch the barriers or to loose the line, and any mistake costs lots of time." Alonso told F1-Live.

The team, however, can not understand the big differences between the times of Trulli and Alonso regardless of the mistakes:

"He has made a couple of mistakes but we can't understand why the difference with Jarno's time is so big", says Pat Symonds, "We'll have to look at all the data gathered today.".
